BIKE RENTALS TERMS AND CONDITIONS – BICYCLE BOOKING PROCESS

You are reserving a bicycle you have selected. This bicycle has specific features. We recommend that, before making the reservation, you carefully read the technical specifications and dates of the selected bicycle to avoid mistakes.

1. SUBMITTING THE CONTACT FORM: Complete the online bicycle contact form for booking with your accurate and up-to-date contact information and accept the online terms and conditions. The contact form for booking is associated with a specific bicycle model, with a technical specification or description provided by the establishment, and with specific rental dates requested by you. You agree to the collection of personal data such as name, surname, address, telephone number, email address, and identity documents (ID/PASSPORT) to manage the rental process. You can consult the processing of your data in the PRIVACY POLICY section of the website www.alicanterentalbikes.com.

2. RECEIVING THE CONTACT FORM CONFIRMATION: You will receive an email confirming your contact form for booking request , subject to bike availability on the indicated dates, to the email address provided in the contact form within a maximum of 24-48 hours. Please check your spam folder.

3. BOOKING CONFIRMATION AND PAYMENT LINK: You will receive an email confirming your booking request, with a payment link on a secure payment platform (Redsys.es). This payment link will expire after 24- hours, and the booking request will be canceled. Please check your spam folder.

4. ONLINE PAYMENT: the online payment is needed to guarantee your booking request, using the link provided in the email for the full amount detailed in your contact form for booking at www.alicanterentalbikes.com. The online bike rental booking process is considered complete once payment has been received. We will only communicate with you through official communication channels, email and phone/whatsapp (info@alicanterentalbikes.com /alicanterentalbikes@gmail.com / +34 622 955 746).

5. ONLINE PAYMENT CONFIRMATION: Sent by the secure payment platform Redsys.es based on the contact information provided during the bike rental payment process at Redsys.es platform (chosen contact method)

6. CANCELLATION OF THE BOOKING: If the online booking process is not carried out as established in the previous sections, the commercial establishment considers that the reservation has not been fully completed, the booking procedure for the rental will not be formalized and your bicycle booking request will be cancelled, without any right to damages.

7. BICYCLE PICKUP AND DROP-OFF – MODALITIES : Bicycle pickup and drop-off will take lace during business hours. Once the online booking process is complete, the lessor, hereinafter “the company,” will deliver the bicycle(s) to the customer, inspected and, if applicable, the accessories rented through the website www.alicanterentalbikes.com, in good working order. Online bookings are accepted for a maximum period of 2 months from the date of submission of the contact form and are subject to availability. Rental availability does not apply on Saturday afternoons, Sundays, national/local holidays (subject to the official calendar). The rental service is not available on these dates. The latest return time for the bicycle and any rented equipment is 8:00 PM. In addition to bicycle delivery/drop-off by our authorized staff during business hours, two additional options are available to customers:

1. In-office pickup/drop-off: The establishment reserves the right to offer a specific bicycle delivery and return method for confirmed rentals using a “private key code.”The latest return time for the bicycle and any rented equipment is 8:00 PM.

To return bicycles, the establishment may provide you with the “private key code” return option. This is a secure access code that allows you to store the rented bicycles and equipment in the office with a lock. You will be informed of how to use the codes, the lockout time, and the exit options in case of a door lockout. If you are running late, you must notify us in advance via email or WhatsApp (the contact information we provide) so we can extend your access time with the “private key code.” The owner will grant you a grace period of 15 to 30 minutes. After this time, the code expires, and the customer must pay for the additional time per bicycle according to the following rates:

+30 min – €5 / 1-3 hr – €10 / +3 hr – €14.90.

Bicycles must be locked in the indoor bike racks. The customer must inform the establishment by email, phone, or WhatsApp upon returning the bicycle.

2. Terrace Pickup/Drop-off: If pickup/drop-off cannot be done at the office, it will be done on the establishment’s terrace. This is a bicycle collection service where the customer is provided with a numerical code to unlock the lock, guaranteeing the collection of the bicycle(s) and their components at the designated collection point (office) on the agreed date and time. With this pick-up/drop-off method, the customer will return the bicycle(s) and their components and is required to inform the establishment by email or WhatsApp at the time of return, respecting the agreed dates and times. If there is any change to the pick-up/drop-off time for the bicycle(s) and their components, both the establishment and the customer must inform each other by email, phone, or WhatsApp. The establishment has secure outdoor lockboxes for depositing the key, the number of which will be provided to the customer in advance. The latest return time for the bicycle and any rented equipment is 8:00 PM. The owner will grant a grace period of between 15 and 30 minutes. If the bicycle is returned after the agreed date and time, the customer must pay for the additional time per bicycle according to the indicated rates:

+30 min – €5 / 1-3 hr – €10 / +3 hr – €14.90.

Bicycles must be locked in the outdoor bike racks. Customers must notify the establishment by email, phone, or WhatsApp upon returning their bicycle.

8. BREAKAGE/DAMAGE/LOSS/THEFT: The establishment and the customer are obligated to inspect the bicycle upon return for any damage and its condition to ensure it has been used properly. The store is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse of the bicycle. The customer is responsible for the bicycle(s) throughout the rental period and for any damage to the rented property and accessories (helmets, locks, lights, pump, etc.). The customer is also responsible for the bicycle’s tires, brakes, basket, and all other equipment provided and previously purchased. The customer is also responsible for returning the bicycle in the same condition as received, including cleanliness. If the bicycle is returned dirty or damaged, the establishment may charge for the cost of repairs or cleaning. If the bicycle is returned with a flat tire, the establishment may charge €6 for the replacement inner tube(s).

9. INCIDENTS: In case of the customer’s online booking coincides with the repair, breakage, theft, or accidental loss of the selected bicycle, considered an incident beyond the establishment’s control, the establishment will offer the customer an alternative bicycle/component. We recommend reviewing the information provided in the contact form. If the customer declines the alternative offered by the establishment, a full refund of the online bicycle reservation fee will be issued, exempting the customer from claiming any damages in the event of their withdrawal from the alternative offered by the establishment.

10. INFORMATION ON PERSONAL INJURY/PROPERTY DAMAGE TO OWNER/THIRD

PARTIES: The establishment will not be liable for bodily injury or property damage to the customer or third parties that the customer may suffer in the event of injury/injuries due to an accident. Such damages are excluded from Civil Liability. The establishment informs customers that these damages are only covered by purchasing private accident insurance, at the customer’s own expense and responsibility. The rental agreement excludes customer and/or bicycle collection in case of bicycle breakdown such as a flat tire, chain issue, or gear change problem, among others. All bicycles are delivered pre-checked and in good working order. The establishment informs you that insurance is available to cover this service; this insurance is privately contracted and is the

responsibility of the customer.

11. THEFT OR DAMAGE TO THE BICYCLE AND/OR COMPONENTS: In case of THEFT or DAMAGE, the customer must pay the following price depending on the model(s) rented and any components: €300 for a city bike / €500 for a trekking bike / €900 for an electric bike / €900 for a mountain bike / €1,200 for a road bike / €30 for panniers / €20 for a helmet / €20 for a lock / €60 for a basket / €20 for a child seat / €10 for a light.

12. DECLARATION OF RESPONSIBILITY: The customer is responsible for complying with the regulations of the Spain Directorate General of Traffic (https://sede.dgt.gob.es/es/) established in the Valencian Community, as well as those specific to each municipality. Helmet use is mandatory for minors, recommended in all cases for adults, and mandatory outside of any urban area. The stablishment provides customers with bicycle usage guidelines on the website www.alicanterentalbikes.com to inform and facilitate responsible use.

Bicycle rentals for long-distance journeys are excluded (maximum distance for all

types of bicycles from the rental office is a maximum radius of 20 km, except for

road and gravel bikes, whose maximum radius is 40 km).

The customer has read and accepts the online bike rental terms and conditions of the

bike booking process. Any dispute arising from the customer’s acceptance of this contract and

failure to comply with its terms will be resolved by the Courts of Alicante.
